How cute is this? This is a great project for craft storage to double as home decor. You can also use your decorated jar as a candle holder.
Materials
All you need for this project is a hook, some yarn and (of course) a jar that you would like to cover.
For this tutorial, I used an F hook and Fine (Size 2) weight yarn.

Pattern
To begin, chain 3 and join with first chain to make a ring.
Round 1: Chain 3. Double crochet 11 stitches in the ring. Join to first DC with a slip stitch.
Round 2: Chain 2. 2 dc in each stitch around. Join to first DC with a slip stitch.
Round 3: Chain 2. (2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in following stitch) repeat around. Join to first DC with a slip stitch.
At this point, you can fit your jar. If you need to, you can follow each of the following rounds until your the circle fits the base of the jar. Chain 2 at the beginning of each round. Join with a slip stitch at the end of each round.
Optional Round 1: (2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in following 2 stitches) repeat around.
Optional Round 2: (2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in following 3 stitches) repeat around.Optional Round 3: (2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in following 4 stitches) repeat around.
For all sizes for all remaining rows until desired height: Ch 3. Dc in every stitch around. Join to first DC with a slip stitch.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
